Welcome

« Back To All

Dear Parents,

I pray that the summer months have provided the opportunity for rest and time with your children, family and friends.

As we prepare for the new school year, we are excited at the opportunity to once again welcome your children and over seven hundred eighty students who will grace our hallways. Our student enrollment continues to grow and at the same time, we are cognizant that we are not able to accept many more students. The task then becomes to maximize our building of community and to serve our students and families as well as is possible.

Change to School Hours
I would like to announce a change to the hours that school will be in session next year. During the course of the year, we find that we do not have enough time to meet with students outside of class time. Time for school clubs to meet, time for students to take exams or quizzes that they may have missed and time to develop further tutorial or enrichment programs will be aided by this change Additionally, student athletes who practice in the morning will not need to meet as early, as a result.

We encourage students to arrive at school to attend daily Mass at 7:30 a.m. or at least by 8:00 a.m.  The first bell will ring at 8:25 a.m. with the tardy bell ringing by 8:30 a.m. The time before the first class can be spent in tutorial, enrichment, or study. The end of the day bell will ring at 3:40 p.m. with athletes reporting to their specific sport by 4:00 p.m. The new schedule does not change the time we spend during the academic periods but does change the ending of the day by 20 minutes.
