Mr. Gilbert L. Saenz, Antonian Principal, has indicated that the
enrollment for the 2006-2007 School Year is expected to surpass seven hundred
twenty students. The expected
student enrollment for the 2006-2007 school year is 720 students with 185 in the
9th Grade, 180 in the 10th Grade, 180 in the 11th Grade and 175 in the 12th
Grade.
Antonian became the largest Catholic High School in San
Antonio over five years ago and has maintained that status ever since. With
close to three hundred freshmen students seeking admission each year, school
officials are left with the unpleasant prospect of having to reject forty
percent of those seeking admission. Although tentative plans for classroom
construction is being contemplated, there are no plans to increase enrollment
beyond the present numbers.
