In 2004, the San Antonio Express News formulated
an awards program in honor of long-time sports reporter Dan Cook. The award was
to be called the Dan Cook Cup and recognizes top athletic programs throughout
the region. The private schools in San Antonio are placed together regardless of
class or division.Antonian
College Preparatory high School has been a recipient of the award for the last
four years - In 2003, 2004 and 2006 it was recognized as the top Private School
Athletic Program in San Antonio. In 2005 it was recognized as the top athletic
program among the TAPPS 6A division.
All sports and programs receive a total number
of points based on its standing at the end of each season.
