Volleyball Ladies Played with Heart (11.10.2006
12:38:01) On Thursday afternoon
we began to hear about the Ship and that the Volleyball Ladies were going to
the Ship. Some began to question what it was all about. Were they going on a
cruise or what? We know that sometimes volleyball language is a bit different,
but what was the Ship thing all about? As you may know by now the ladies
did something no Antonian volleyball team has done since the year 2000. They
are in the State Championship Game on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. playing
against Trinity Addison. The year was to be a year of rebuilding with one
Senior on the team. It was on Daniella Guajardo's shoulder to lead this
team, to inspire them and to get them to the State Championship. She has
done her part and we are proud to have had her lead this team with Senior
Power. Then there is the coach who came from Incarnate Word. Some thought it
was strange that she would be the chosen one. When she was approached about
coming to Antonian, she never blinked. She told us YES immediately. And then
there was the test, to check her blood. When her blood was checked, it was
confirmed. She bled Red.
Coach, the school is proud of you and your coaching staff. Many blessings
upon you and your ladies effort at the game. You are about to enter the
Ship! Congratulations
