The Antonian Apache Swim Team had a very impressive swim meet.Three freshman, two sophomores, one junior and two seniors representing the swimmers at state. Both the girls and boys teams placed 7th in Division 6A.

 

All 3 of the boys and girls relays finaled from prelims.

 

Our 200 Girls Medley relay accomplished a personal best time of the year in finals with a time of 2:08.82 dropping almost 3 seconds from their regional entry time placing 8th.

 

The boys placed 6th in the 200 Medley Relay with a personal best time of 1:55.35 dropping 5 seconds from regionals.

 

In the 200 freestyle relay the girls placed 5th and the boys placed 4th. The boys impressively dropped just over 6 seconds from regionals. Again, both teams accomplished personal best times.

 

In the 400 Freestyle Relay the girls placed 5th while the boys placed 7th. The boys had an incredible 16 second drop from their entry time at regionals. Once again both teams accomplishing best times.

 

The relays were amazing in their accomplishments pulling their best swims at the right time.

 

Individually we qualified Daphnee Peterson in the 200 Freestyle placing 8th and Dylan Jones placing 8th in the 50 Free.

 

Daniel Simmons medaled, collecting a bronze 3rd place medal in a personal best swim of 1:04.70 in the 100 Breaststroke.

 

Overall, I am very proud of all of our swimmers who qualified for regionals and the 8 swimmers and two alternates who qualified for the state meet.
