Mother/Son Mass & Luncheon: Boys, the mother/son Mass and luncheon is just around the corner. Please be sure to turn in your reservation to the office by Friday, February 24th. This is a special event, so don’t miss it!

Apache Life: You are invited to Apache Life in the gallery this Thursday at 6:00. Trust us, it’ll be a great time. See ya there!

Band: The band will have a Lenten Fish Fry on Friday Feb. 24th from after school to 6pm. $5 a plate includes: Fried fish, hush puppies, and corn nibblets. Pre sale tickets available. All orders to go.

Softball: The Apache softball team started off their season with their first home game yesterday. The girls came out with a strong victory of Reagan and are looking forward to the rest of the season!

Matthew's Closet: All Matthew’s Closet members who wish to go Wednesday afternoon to Sunshine Cottage must sign in Wednesday morning. The first 6 to sign up Wednesday morning may go tomorrow at 3:45 to 5:30. Sign up outside Mr. Elizalde’s room

Music Ministry: There will be choir practice after school today in the chapel. Mr. Kokotajlo will not be there, so please be prompt and productive! Binders will be in the chapel with music for lent.

Latin Club: Congratulations, Antonian Latin club on a superlative performance this past weekend at the Area B San Antonio regional Academic Competition held at Reagan High School. For the 4th year in a row Antonian brought home first place overall, out of 20 school in attendance. Individually, Antonian brough home 18 first places, with special mention to Veronica Knisley, who won high score for the level one pentathlon, the general test of overall classical knowledge, and to Jon Paul Elizondo who won high score for the level three pentathlon.

Magisters Bray and Sipe, on behalf of the Antonian Latin Club, wish to thank the teachers, administration, and staff for their generosity and patience with the preparations necessary. We also wish to express our deepest pride and gratitude to all the members of the Latin Club for your hard work. Once again, this was truly a community victory.

Valentine’s Day: Attention Apaches- Love is in the air and Valentine’s day is less than a week away. In celebration of this special event flowers and singing valentines will be sold today and tomorrow during lunch. Flowers will be $1 and singing Valentines’ will be $3. They will be handed out and preformed during school on Valentine’s day, this Tuesday. Show that special someone you care with a surprise Apache Valentine!

Softball: Softball games today have been postponed due to weather. There will be a meeting today after school for both JV and Varsity teams in Mrs. Segura’s room. Plan to be there for one hour.

TAPPS Academic Competition: Attention all students competing in the TAPPS District meet today and tomorrow. There will be a short, but mandatory meeting today after school in the back of the auditorium starting promptly at 12:10. See Mr. Arizpe if you have any questions.

Matthew's Closet: To all students who wish to join Matthew’s Closet for this year and next, you must pick up the forms in Mr. Elizalde’s room today so that you can go to the SAMM’s Shelter to help tutor kids, supply them with school supplies and help them with holiday treats. Please pick up the forms after school in Mr. Elizalde’s room today.

Tennis: Despite losing four top players to bronchitis, the varsity tennis team managed to pull out a 7-5 victory over Southwest H.S. The boys won all of their matches, with Javier Valdes and Rod Ampudia contributing two wins apiece. Congratulations tennis team!

Friday’s Mass: Attention all teams, clubs, teachers, and students come on Friday to the 7:30 mass. It is the memorial of St. Blaise. We will be blessing throats on this day. Saint Blaise’s protection of those with throat troubles comes from a legend that a boy was brought to him who had a fish bone stuck in his throat. The boy was about to die when St. Blaise healed him.

Girls Basketball: There is a girls’ basketball fundraising night this Thursday, Feb. 2nd from 5:00-8:00pm at the Chick Fil A on 410 and McCullough across from North Star Mall. Any purchases made that night wil help raise funds for our girls’ basketball program! We appreciate your support!

Also, this Saturday at 3:00 at the Alamo Convocation Center, the Lady Apache Basketball Team will play Incarnate Word. This matchup is between the two teams that are currently 1st and 2nd in district – we hope to see you there!
