To best be able to discern whether Antonian is the right school for a family, Antonian offers different ways for candidate families to learn more about the school. Individual tours can be scheduled with the Director of Admissions on an appointment basis. Group tours are conducted during an open house period in the fall semester. Most families are able to make a decision about pursuing admission based on these tours. In some cases, a student may still be undecided after a tour. In that case, Antonian offers shadow visits during a specified time period each year for current 8th-grade students seeking admission to the freshman class. Transfer student shadow visits are limited and are granted in certain circumstances, approved by administration.
Shadow visitors are assigned to follow a freshman student for either a full school day or a half school day in order to get a more in-depth feel of the school environment. Each shadow visitor will be provided a lunch through our lunch cafeteria program.
We are excited when students are eager to come join the Antonian family and wish to spend a day with us. However, because our shadow visit opportunities are limited, it is our hope that shadow visits be reserved only for those students who are uncertain about their decisions and who can then benefit by spending additional time in our school environment. We ask that parents fully discuss this with their children before reserving a shadow visit spot.
