Dear Parents and Friends of Antonian:
I welcome you to this school year and wish to introduce you to the groups on the Antonian campus that provide parents an opportunity to become involved in the activities of the institution. These groups often need people to assist in the planning and implementation of the various activities it sponsors, as well as call on parents to continually assist and participate. Whatever your desire, we offer these organizations as an opportunity to involve you in the life of the school.
Through these organizations, Antonian wishes to acknowledge parents as the primary educators of their children. Thus, we place them in the forefront of our institution, and urge that they demonstrate values and share virtues that aid in the understanding of who their children are as individuals, who they are in relation to one another, and what their obligations are to a fuller society.
Although you can become involved in the many activities that the school offers you as parents, we ask that you consider being a part of a parent group so that a sense of community is built. After all, it is your time, talent and treasure that enriches the life of the school.
Let us not forget thus, that the primary goal of our student's education is to provide a foundation by which they can justify, interpret, explain and practice a set of values and virtues in accordance to Catholic teachings. In order to accomplish this, parents need to become involved in the life of the school and in the activities of their children. More importantly, they must also come to learn about their role as parents and how family life can result in synchronicity of spirit, faith and living.
This letter is meant to introduce the various parent organizations and invite you to participate. We wish you many blessings as you come to know how you can be better involved with the school.
We hope that this letter is helpful in discerning your involvement this year.
