Music Ministry: There will be choir practice today in the auditorium after school.

Friday’s Mass: Attention all teams, clubs, teachers, and students come on Friday to the 7:30 mass. It is the memorial of St. Blaise. We will be blessing throats on this day. Saint Blaise’s protection of those with throat troubles comes from a legend that a boy was brought to him who had a fish bone stuck in his throat. The boy was about to die when St. Blaise healed him.

Varsity Volleyball Bake Sale: Wednesday, February 1st is Grandparents Day for Catholic Schools Week. The varsity volleyball team will offer complimentary coffee and sweets to the grandparents who attend Mass that day, in the cafeteria immediately following the Mass. A cake sale will also be taking place during the reception and grandparents are encouraged to stop by the cake sale to make a purchase.

The varsity team will then have a bake sale during each of the lunch periods that same day.

Girls Soccer: Varsity soccer girls claim their 9th district title in a row after tying St. Michaels 0-0 in Austin, a week ago. However, it was a little sweeter when we beat Incarnate Word 3-0 this past Saturday. Sophia Perez started the scoring off, Matti W.’s facial for the second, and after three years, Bridgette Kozar finally got her goal from about thirty yards out. And again the defense shuts them out. Thank you to all that came to the game to see a great team effort. Next is Playoffs!

The JV soccer girls finished out the season winning the consolation bracket at Smithson Valley Tournament. They had a great season this year playing 19 games and 3 tournaments. Start doing the things now to prepare you for the next year.

Happy Birthday!
