NHS: Don’t forget that your tutoring hours are due Friday Dec. 2nd. This Wednesday we will be handing out angel tree assignments during lunch. Your unwrapped gifts are due next Friday the 9th. Remember these children are counting on us to bring Christmas cheer to them We don’t want to disappoint.
Drama Society: International Thespian Society candidates- We will have our Induction Saturday, December 10th at 11am. You must turn in your $22 dues by this Friday the 2nd & attend a mandatory meeting Monday the 5th at 3:30. See Mrs. Overton with questions.
Ambassadors: Ambassadors in need of service hours please see Mrs. Montemayor for an opportunity to assist with the high school placement test this Saturday, December 3rd.
Campus Ministry: All students attending the Extra Ordinary Minister of Communion training today meet in room 106 at 5:45.

Spanish Classes: Sra. Turner would like to thank all the students who brought food for the “Children’s Hunger Fund.” We were able to gather 20 boxes which is 400 pounds of foot to bless 20 families in San Antonio.

Homecoming Photos: Homecoming Dance photographer, Mr. Ramirez, will have a table in the gallery today after school from which students can pick up any paid pictures or pay for an order of pictures that had been taken that night. Please see Mr. Ramirez if you are interested.

Boys Basketball: Congratulations to the men’s Varsity Basketball Team who defeated Madison in a nail-biter 51-50. Junior Chris Molina scored a last second free throw to close the game. Great job guys!
Girls Soccer: Your girls soccer teams won big district games last night against St. Michaels.
JV started it off with a commanding victory 3-0 with Alice Leonard getting the hat trick, Robin Montemayor, Marcie Sanchez, Christina Rodriguez, and Rachel Frei all contributing to an excellent performance. The Trio Kristen Reynold, Alex Torres and Christina Gonzales maintained the shutout moving the JV to a 3-2 record for the season.
Varsity also started off the game great after a dismal performance at the St. Mary’s Hall tourney. Your lady apaches scored off the assist of Bridgette Kozar to Emily Loenard putting the ball away for the goal. Due to a slight clock error Heather Sulica and Jaime Aguillen were able to maintain their 6th shutout this season and the 3rd one in district play. Other notable of great performances last night were Christina Carrion and Emily Parra.
Great job ladies and thank you everyone who attended the game. On a final note please do not forget to get your Antonian Soccer scarfs for the cold days ahead. Please find any girls soccer team member for more information.

Matthew’s Closet: To all Matthew’s Closet members who wish to go to the Children’s Shelter tomorrow afternoon is the only time to get trained and certified by the trainers. You must attend the session tomorrow at 3:45-5:00 if you wish to help the children. They will only train 20 students.

Track & Field: There will be a short meeting today for anyone interested in being part of the girls and boys defending regional track & field team. Golf Team: The Antonian girls golf team competed in the Brandeis Invitational at Alsation today. Pia Serrano finished 2nd overall with a 79. Other team members were Lori Martinez, Valerie Owen, Illiana Contreras, and Celine Gomez. The girls next tournament will be next Monday, November 21st in Seguin. This will be their last tournament this fall.

Missing Item: The tin man hat that the juniors used for the Wizard of Oz has been misplaced. If you find it and turn it in to the office, it is worth a $50.00 reward. No questions asked.
Missing Item: If anyone picked up two James Avery rings on Red Man Day. They were left in the outfield of the baseball field during tug of war. One is a heart and the other is an Irish “Claddagh” ring. They mean very much to the person that lost them and were give as gifts by people who are no longer with us.

Missing Item: If anyone picked up two James Avery rings on Red Man Day. They were left in the outfield of the baseball field during tug of war. One is a heart and the other is an Irish “Claddagh” ring. They mean very much to the person that lost them and were give as gifts by people who are no longer with us.
Spirit Club: The Spirit Club will meet this Thursday morning at 7:45 for a brief meeting. Please be on time.
Smoke Signals: Smoke Signal articles and photos are due this Friday. Don’t forget to submit them electronically. If you have any questions stop by room 200.
Homecoming: Are you a connoisseur of music, do you want your jam played at Saturday’s homecoming dance? Submit your song to the student board outside Mr. Arizpe’s room.

Bowling Team: Just a reminder there is bowling practice today. The Bowling team will have their first match on Monday Nov. 14th at the opening ceremony boys will face rivals Central Catholic and girls will bowl against Providence High School. All are welcome to come and watch at Astro Bowl. Any questions about bowling please see Mr. Derbonne.
Football: Pre-Sale Tickets for this Saturday’s Football Play-off Game vs. Houston St. Pius X at Antonian will be for sale on Thursday and Friday during lunches and after school until 3:45PM in the front office. Pre-Sale Tickets will be $4.00 for Students and $6.00 for General Admission. All Tickets will be $8.00 at the gate so get them early and remember that Athletic Passes WILL NOT be accepted for Play-off Games. Kick-off on Saturday is set for 3:00PM at Ferrera Stadium. Come Early, Yell Loud and Be Proud!
