NHS: Don’t forget that your tutoring hours are due Friday Dec. 2nd. This Wednesday we will be handing out angel tree assignments during lunch. Your unwrapped gifts are due next Friday the 9th. Remember these children are counting on us to bring Christmas cheer to them We don’t want to disappoint.

Drama Society: International Thespian Society candidates- We will have our Induction Saturday, December 10th at 11am. You must turn in your $22 dues by this Friday the 2nd & attend a mandatory meeting Monday the 5th at 3:30. See Mrs. Overton with questions.

Ambassadors: Ambassadors in need of service hours please see Mrs. Montemayor for an opportunity to assist with the high school placement test this Saturday, December 3rd.

Campus Ministry: All students attending the Extra Ordinary Minister of Communion training today meet in room 106 at 5:45.

Teachers: Teachers if you wish to participate in the Secret Santa, don’t forget to turn in your information today.

Sign Language Club: The Sign Language Club will be selling t-shirts until Thursday Dec. 1st. Shirts are $15. Please see Ms. Copfer for details

Football: Football end of the Year banquet forms are due today at 12:00 pm. Please turn in your form to the front office. Forms can also be picked up in the front office or downloaded from the Antonian Football web page. The banquet is set for Sunday, December 4th at 4:30. Hope to see you there.

Swimming: The Antonian Swim & Dive Team will be competing in the “Battle of the Crown” held at Josh Davis. The meet is set for Tuesday, December 6th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. This event will include former Olympic Champions, Josh Davis, Jimmy Fiegan, Aaron Piersol, Brendan Hansen, and many others. This meet is also a fundraiser for the Josh Davis Cancer Fund. Hope to see you there!

Spanish Classes: Sra. Turner would like to thank all the students who brought food for the “Children’s Hunger Fund.” We were able to gather 20 boxes which is 400 pounds of foot to bless 20 families in San Antonio.

Found: Found a silver ring in girls bathroom- identify and claim it in the front office.

Chess Club: The Chess Club will hold a brief meeting today after school in rm. 210. One item on the agenda is tomorrow’s tournament at Jay H.S.

Homecoming Photos: Homecoming Dance photographer, Mr. Ramirez, will have a table in the gallery today after school from which students can pick up any paid pictures or pay for an order of pictures that had been taken that night. Please see Mr. Ramirez if you are interested.

Concert: Tomorrow we will be hosting Christian recording artist Shawn McDonald for a concert with the underclassmen in the morning and time with the seniors during their retreat. Come ready for an awesome day of praise and worship! The concert will be at 9:00 and we will follow a mass schedule.

Girls Golf: The Antonian girls golf team finished 4th in the Matador Invitations in Seguin. Pia Serrano shot a 77 to finish 2nd overall. Iliana Contreras, Lori Martinez, Valerie Owen and Erika Errhalt played as well.

Concert: On Tuesday, November 29th we will be hosting Christian recording artist Shawn McDonald for a concert with the underclassmen in the morning and time with the Seniors during their retreat. Come ready for an awesome day of praise and worship!

Sign Language Club: The Sign Language Club will be selling club t-shirts for $15 a shirt. All money must be turned in by Wednesday Nov. 30th. Please turn in all payments to Ms. Copfer. You do not have to be in the club to buy a shirt.

Tutoring Center: The Tutoring Center will not be open this afternoon.

Boys Basketball: Congratulations to the men’s Varsity Basketball Team who defeated Madison in a nail-biter 51-50. Junior Chris Molina scored a last second free throw to close the game. Great job guys!

Girls Soccer: Your girls soccer teams won big district games last night against St. Michaels.

JV started it off with a commanding victory 3-0 with Alice Leonard getting the hat trick, Robin Montemayor, Marcie Sanchez, Christina Rodriguez, and Rachel Frei all contributing to an excellent performance. The Trio Kristen Reynold, Alex Torres and Christina Gonzales maintained the shutout moving the JV to a 3-2 record for the season.

Varsity also started off the game great after a dismal performance at the St. Mary’s Hall tourney. Your lady apaches scored off the assist of Bridgette Kozar to Emily Loenard putting the ball away for the goal. Due to a slight clock error Heather Sulica and Jaime Aguillen were able to maintain their 6th shutout this season and the 3rd one in district play. Other notable of great performances last night were Christina Carrion and Emily Parra.

Great job ladies and thank you everyone who attended the game. On a final note please do not forget to get your Antonian Soccer scarfs for the cold days ahead. Please find any girls soccer team member for more information.

The meeting begins at 3:45 in Mr. Elizalde’s room. Please attend if you wish to visit the Children’s Shelter. This is the only day to get certified. Remember your ID with photo and social security number.

Matthew’s Closet: To all Matthew’s Closet members who wish to go to the Children’s Shelter tomorrow afternoon is the only time to get trained and certified by the trainers. You must attend the session tomorrow at 3:45-5:00 if you wish to help the children. They will only train 20 students.

Rosary Ministry: Attention all students, Antonian is starting a Rosary Ministry. We will gather at 4:00 p.m. on Monday’s in the library to make Rosaries.

Extra Ordinary Ministers: Attention all students, we will have another training for people who want to serve as Extra Ordinary Ministers of Communion on Wednesday Nov. 30th. You must RSVP if you are going. Get more information from your theology teacher.

Freshman Basketball: Good luck to the freshman white basketball team as they take on Alamo Heights at the Mule Dome tomorrow. All white team players will need to arrive at 9:15am.

Mu Alpha Theta: Today there will be a Mu Alpha Theta meeting during senior advisory in Mrs. Toscano’s room.

Medical Team: Are you interested in learning about the medical field? Then please join us today for guest lecturer Dr. Ana Rodriguez- who specializes in Internal Medicine. The meeting will be from 3:30-4:15 in room 704.

Apache Life: Start celebrating Thanksgiving early with Apache Life! We have two events coming up: LIFE night on Thursday, and then a combined Button/Apache Life on Monday, November 21st. Both events will be in the gallery from 5-7:30. Hope you can come bring your friends.

Rosary Ministry: Attention all students, Antonian is starting a Rosary Ministry. We will gather at 4:00 p.m. on Monday’s in the library to make Rosaries.

Track & Field: There will be a short meeting today for anyone interested in being part of the girls and boys defending regional track & field team. The meeting will take place at the track beginning at 3:35. If you are in a winter sport but would like to participate in spring track, please see Coach Lovell.

Golf Team: The Antonian girls golf team competed in the Brandeis Invitational at Alsation today. Pia Serrano finished 2nd overall with a 79. Other team members were Lori Martinez, Valerie Owen, Illiana Contreras, and Celine Gomez. The girls next tournament will be next Monday, November 21st in Seguin. This will be their last tournament this fall.

Girls Basketball: All three Apache girls’ basketball teams defeated Uvalde on Friday night. The freshmen won 38-3, the JV won 50-22, and varsity won 80-18. The girls play O’Connor HS here at ACP tomorrow night. Freshmen start at 5, JV following at 6:15, and varsity at 7:30. We would love to see you there.

NHS: All Junior NHS members need to report to Emily Cacazos, Megan Johnson, and Blake Tamez during lunch and provide the two subjects that they will be tutoring in as well as their contact info. Subjects can as broad as math or science, or specific as Algebra II H or Biology.

Homecoming: Homecoming tickets will be on sale during the lunches and after school in the front desk. Tickets are $15 for couples and $10 for singles.

Girls Basketball: 1st girls basketball game today!! Freshmen at 5pm. JV at 6:15, and Varsity at 7:15. Please come support your Lady Apaches!

Football: Pre-Sale Tickets for this Saturday’s Football Play-off Game vs. Houston St. Pius X at Antonian will be for sale on Thursday and Friday during lunches and after school until 3:45PM in the front office. Pre-Sale Tickets will be $4.00 for Students and $6.00 for General Admission. All Tickets will be $8.00 at the gate so get them early and remember that Athletic Passes WILL NOT be accepted for Play-off Games. Kick-off on Saturday is set for 3:00PM at Ferrera Stadium. Come Early, Yell Loud and Be Proud!

Honor Roll: Attention students: if you made the honor roll first quarter bu did not get your ice cream yesterday see Mrs. Turner in the Munchie Cart today. Today is the last day honor roll ice cream will be given out.

Homecoming: Homecoming tickets will be on sale today afterschool in the front office. You may also purchase your dance tickets before school, during lunch and after school tomorrow. Tickets are $15 for couples and $10 for singles.

Missing Item: If anyone picked up two James Avery rings on Red Man Day. They were left in the outfield of the baseball field during tug of war. One is a heart and the other is an Irish “Claddagh” ring. They mean very much to the person that lost them and were give as gifts by people who are no longer with us.
