Latin Club: This past Saturday, the Antonian Latin Club advanced Certamen Team, comprised of JP Elizondo, Ryan DiPaulo, Andrew Jackson, and Jason Richler participated in the First Certamen Tournament of the season at Clark High School. Playing well and honorably bringing home second place out of seven schools in attendance and justifying fully the extravagance of this lengthy single sentence. Congratulations gentleman.
Apache LIFE: Do you love everybody? Well so do we! Join us at Apache LIFE this Thursday from 6-7:30 in the gallery.
Smoke Signals: If you are interested in writing, editing, or completing artwork for this year’s school newspaper, Smoke Signals, please come to our first meeting this Thursday, October 27th at 3:25 in room 200.
Athletics: Anyone interested in playing softball, baseball, track + field, golf or tennis in the spring needs to complete a physical packet. The packet must be turned into Coach Boyd BEFORE the first day of tryouts. You may pick up a packet in the front office or in the Athletic Training Room.
Tennis: The fall tennis team overcame a tough opponent and some bad weather conditions to emerge with a wing against Roosevelt High School. The match was called at 10-9 for Antonian when it became too dark to play. This was the final match for the fall and the tennis team went undefeated against 4A and 5A public schools. Spring Tennis begins again after the Christmas break and everyone is looking forward to a great spring season.

Golf: The boys golf team finished first in the Warren Invitational yesterday at The Golf Club of Texas. Alex Bissaro finished 1st with a 71. Phil Coelho shot 76 for third and Ben Kalter was 4th with a 78. Andre’ Ramirez and Jason McKeown completed the team.
The girl’s team will participate in their first tournament next Monday, October 24th at Northern Hills.

Mr. Bray’s 7th period Class: Will students in Mr. Bray’s 7th period Latin II, who are missing class due to NHS practice this afternoon, plan to take the test either after school today or before school tomorrow morning.

Cross Country: Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams as they continued their season at the Matador Invitational in Seguin.
The Varsity girls were paced by Junior Emily Leonard, Freshman Christen Martinez, and Freshman Rachel Frei.
In the Varsity boys division Junior Andres Saks, Junior Zachary Baltazar and Freshman Joe Anthony Suarez paced the team.
The JV girls were paced by Freshman Abigail Lozano, Junior Molly Dahm, and Senior Jasmine Acosta.
The JV boys were lead by Junior Richard Ramos, Freshman Cristian Mendoza, and Sophomore Armin Rodriguez.
The Apaches will be back in action again next Saturday at the TAPPS State Championships in Waco, Texas. Races are set to start at 11:00 for the girls and 11:30 for the boys. Good Luck Apaches!

Cross Country: Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams as they continued their season at the Westlake Invitational in Austin, Texas.
In the Varsity Girls Division the Lady Apaches finished 2nd in the team competition and were lead by Junior Bridgette Kozar, Senior Laura Cortez, and Freshman Robin Montemayor.
In the varsity Boys Varsity division the Apaches looked great and finished 1st in the team competition. Leading the Apaches were, Junior Anthony Gallardo, Junior Emilio Molina and Senior Chris Kokotajlo.
In the Girls JV division, Junior Emily Leonard, Sophomore Alex Noal, and Freshman Christina Rodriguez lead the Lady Apaches to a 3rd place team finish.
In the Boys JV division the Apaches were paced by Sophomore John Diaz, Sophomore Kyle Woodard, and Sophomore Tyler Dumont. The boys finished 1st in the team competition.
In the Girls Freshman division Abigail Lozano finished an impressive 2nd place and in the boys Freshman division Matthew Huott, Cristian Mendoza and Joe Anthony Suarez paced the freshman boys to a 1st place team finish.

Seniors: The Minnie Stevens Piper Scholarship packets will be available on Tue. Oct. 4th at 7:45am. There are only 15 scholarship packets available. Please arrive early tomorrow if you would like one.
Teachers: Please allow the dancers to be dismissed after attendance to change for tours. Please also remind students to keep hallways tidy with bags pushed as close to the wall as possible.

On Saturday, Oct. 8th, Antonian will host the district volleyball game against St. Michael’s. The freshman game is at 11:00. The JV is at 12:00 and the Varsity game is at 1:00.
Preceding the Varsity game there will be a ceremony recognizing the Antonian Volleyball 1998 State Champions. Please come out and support our Lady Apaches!
Cross Country: Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country Team as they continued their season at the prestigious McNeil Invitational.
In the 5A Varsity Girls Division the Lady Apaches ran a great race in a very competitive dicision to claim 2nd in the team competition. Leading the Lady Apaches were junior Bridgette Kozar, Senior Laura Cortez and Freshman Robin Montemayor lead the way for the Apaches.
In the varsity Boys Gold division the Apaches looked great and finished 5th in the team competition. Leading the Apaches were once again, Junior Anthony Gallardo, Junior Emilio Molina and and Senior Chris Kokotajlo.
In the Girls 3A division, Freshman Rachel Frei, Junior Alex Noal, and Junior Emily Leonard lead the Lady Apaches to a solid performance.
In the boy’s 3A division the Apaches were paced by, Freshman Joe Anthony Suarez, Freshman Cristian Mendoza, and Sophomore Tyler Dumont.
In the final Jr. Varsity divisions Senior Julia Flores paced the ladies and Sophomore John Diaz paced the boy’s team.
