Saturday School: There will be NO Saturday school this weekend.

Ambassadors: Ambassadors- Please volunteer for two upcoming admissions events. We will have a parent forum on Thursday evening Oct. 13th and a weekend open house for tours on Saturday morning Oct. 15th. Sign up in Mrs. Montemayor’s lobby.

Pro-Life: The Pro-Life festival is tomorrow from 10am-4pm. This is the first of its kind! The day will include local bands, speakers, food, and games. We look forward to seeing you there! Do you want to learn more about this movement? Feel free to stop by any of the information booths present on that day!

Matthew’s Closet: To all Matthew’s Closet members a short meeting will be held today after school in Mr. Elizalde’s room. You must sign up for credit hours and to sign up for Saturday’s Pro-Life booths. You must also bring a 2 liter bottle for Saturday’s booth.

The Tribe: There will be a meeting for The Tribe today after school in Mrs. Hunt’s room! Come and give us your ideas for upcoming football games and volleyball games! That’s room 106 in senior hallway!

Bastrop Fires: We spoke to you on Wednesday about helping the victims of the fires in Bastrop. In order to help those who are the poorest of the victims, we are turning our drive into a can food drive. It will begin on Monday of next week and end on Friday. The class with the most cans will get a Jean + Antonian free dress day. Turn in goods to your theology teacher.

Chess Club: Last night, your Apache Chess Team, current champions, short one player, captured 2nd place at the 1st tournament of the season. In Division 2, Amanda Piña disposed of the competition, finishing undefeated in first place. In division 3, Gabe Gomez also finished undefeated, capturing first place. Congratulations to all the players!

Chess Club: The Antonian Chess Club will hold a short meeting today after school in room 210- all members are required to attend.

American Sign Language Club: Just a reminder that the American Sign Language Club will be meeting today from 4-5 in the cafeteria.

Matthew’s Closet: To all Matthew’s Closet members a short meeting will be held today after school in Mr. Elizalde’s room. You must sign up for credit hours and to sign up for Saturday’s Pro-Life booths. You must also bring a 2 liter bottle for Saturday’s booth.

Tennis: Congratulations to the fall tennis team as they defeated the Johnson High School B team by a score of 20-3. Good work everyone!

Football: The Varsity Football team invites all Antonian organizations, students, and parents to join them in the Chapel of the Saints at 7:30am tomorrow with a show of school spirit as Father John and Deacon Hilbert celebrate Mass and pray for a safe and gainful game against St. Anthony. This game bars the beginning of District play.

Cross Country: Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country Team as they competed at the Islander Splash Invitational in Corpus Christi, TX.

In the Varsity Girls Division the Lady Apaches took on the #1 ranked Southlake Carroll and #4 ranked Katy Seven Lakes in an ultra competitive battle of Texas bests and they held their own finishing 4th over in the team standings. Junior Bridgette Kozar, Senior Laura Cortez and Freshman Robin Montemayor lead the way for the Apaches.

In the Varsity Boys division the boys also had th3eir work cut out for them at #1 ranked Southlake Carroll was the team to beat. In a stacked field the men finished 3rd in the team competition. Junior Anthony Gallardo, Junior Emilio Molina and Junior Arturo Ayon paced the Apaches.

In the Boys 3A division, Junior Andres Saks, Junior Zachary Baltazar, and Junior Richard Ramos paved the way to 1st place team finish.

In the Jr. Varsity girls division, the Apaches were paced by Junior Michelle Aguirre, Junior Brittany Lopez and Alexa Monita.

In the Jr. Varsity boys division Senior Chris Rice, Freshman Eric Liemen, and Junior Ignacciao Sunderland lead the team.

ACTS: Anyone interested in attending the ACTS retreat on January 12-15 please pick up a retreat application form from your Theology Teacher or Mrs. Segura. Students who have never attended an ACTS retreat have priority. We will collect applications from those who have attended an ACTS retreat at a later date. Applications for the February retreat will go out after the January retreat has been filled. Please turn in your applications and money to Mrs. Segura in room 204.

Antonian ACTS Team: Attention all students who applied for the Antonian Acts Team. We received 90 applications and are only able to offer a position to 36 students. We regret that we had mor qualified people than spaces available. The team list will be posted at 3:20 in the Library. If you were selected please pick up an important information sheet with your name on it. If you were not selected we hope you seek out other opportunities to serve God. From Mrs. Valadez, Mrs. Segura, and Fr. John Gonzales Castro.

Sept. 11 Remembered: This Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Let us pray for the innocent victims of those horrendous attacks and for our troops abroad that continue to seek justice for those lives lost on that tragic day. We ask God to keep us mindful of our many blessings, and as Christians may we continue to work towards peace and understanding in our world.

Dance Team: It's that time again for our 2nd Annual California Pizza Kitchen Fundraiser! Support the dance team & help them get to Nationals by presenting a CPK Flyer when you order. Come and enjoy great pizza and more today. The fundraiser is good at both the Huebner Oaks location & The Alamo Quarry location, we'll see you there!

Volleyball: On Wednesday, September 7th, Antonian will host the district volleyball game against Providence. The freshman will play at 5:00, the JV at 6:00 and the Varsity at 7:15.

On Thursday, September 8th, Antonian will host the district volleyball game against St. Augustine. The JV game is at 5:00 and the Varsity at 6:00.

On Friday, September 9th, Antonian will host the non-district volleyball game against St. Mary's Hall. The freshman will play at 4:00, the JV at 5:00 and the Varsity at 6:15.

Antonian Dance Academy: Do you like to dance?! Well the Antonian Dance Academy is the place for you! Come and take a variety of classes ranging from beginner to advanced levels. From ballet to hip hop, and lyrical to jazz, the Dance Academy is open to all those who want to dance. There is even a Dance Team Prep class for those interested in joining a dance team. We take all ages starting from 3-18 year olds, and classes are open to the public… come pick up a schedule and registration form at the front office after school. Classes begin next week so sign up today!

SABest Robotic Competition: There will be a sign-up and meeting for all students interested in participating in the SABest Robotic competition today after school in the auditorium.

Girls Soccer: Attention all ladies interested in playing soccer for the 8th time district champs and 4 time final four appearance, please come to a brief meeting after school on Thursday Sept. 1st at 3:30 in Coach Anno's room 302. Talking about preseason, open gym, expectations, schedule, and Q &A. Thank you for supporting girls soccer.

Teachers: Remember the World Café today at 3:30 in the Retreat House. Come enjoy some refreshments and learn a PLC protocol you can use in the classroom tomorrow.

Tennis: There will be a sign-up and meeting for all students who plan to play tennis after school today in the student center.
