The Antonian Dance program is made up of talented dancers (grades 9-12) that serve as members of either our JV team, known as the Ruby Dancers or our Varsity team, known as the Silver Dancers. Our dancers serve as ambassadors and representatives of our school and are expected to be an example amongst their peers. We fall under Antonian Athletics and are governed by the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). We serve our Antonian community as a spirit organization and competitive dance program and take pride in our accomplishments. The Antonian Dance program attends and performs at football and volleyball games in the fall and select girls' and boys' basketball games in the spring. We also perform at special events, pep rallies, parades, and Spurs Games. Both the Ruby and Silver Dancers compete in the spring during the months of January-March. We are 5-time TAPPS State Champions, 7-time National Champions, and have won invitations to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade through our competitions. We have two major fundraisers a year which include our Dance Clinic held in the fall, and our Spring Show in May. Our organization is run by our Head Coach, Drea Pena-Kocian, and our Assistant Coach, Diandra Buckley. We believe in developing well-rounded dancers and future leaders in our community. It takes a village to run our program and so we rely heavily on our parents to be involved and support our dance family. The dance parents volunteer to serve on our Parent Booster Club and committees that help plan and execute events throughout the year.
