Two Antonian Football Players to Be Presented Jerseys for High School All-Star Games


San Antonio, TX - Antonian College Preparatory High School’s Khalil Warfield and Devin Grant have made the rosters for upcoming high school football all-star games. Warfield will play in the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game presented by HEB, while Grant will play in the All American Bowl presented by American Family Insurance. A joint jersey presentation is set to take place at Antonian College Preparatory High School at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Both young men have committed to play Division I college football this coming fall.

Warfield is one of 110 student athletes representing over 60 local high schools chosen for the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game. He will play alongside five other San Antonio area private school athletes. Warfield has thrown for over 1,000 yards, rushed for over 1,000 yards, and accounts for 26 Apache touchdowns. Warfield plans to continue his football career at the University of Texas--El Paso. 

Grant is one of fourteen San Antonio area football players chosen for the All-American Bowl, recognized as the nation’s premier high school sporting event. He is the only San Antonio private school athlete on the roster this year. During the 2019 season, Grant has 60 tackles, 11 sacks, and two touchdowns. Receiving over 20 offers to play football at the collegiate level from schools across the nation, Grant has committed to play for the University of Colorado.

In addition to their appearances on the football field, both Warfield and Grant are multi-sport athletes participating in track and basketball for the Apaches and are members of the 2019 TAPPS 6A state championship basketball team. 

The All American Bowl is scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. with the San Antonio Sports All-Star Game to follow at 5:00 p.m.
